We do expect our biscuits to have a shorter shelf life than our other products due to their moisture content and only using natural preservatives, so we recommend eating upon receiving or freezing them immediately upon arrival for up to 4 months. Allow to reach room temperature before eating for the fresh, fluffy taste you expect from Hero Bread.
We recommend 5-6 minutes in a 425F oven for the perfect warm biscuit, with a crisped outer and soft center.
Hero Buttermilk Biscuits are a part of the Hero Bread™ Crafted Collection of small batch bakes. They are handmade in a Sonoma, CA bakery and exclusively available for purchase on the Hero.co website in limited edition drops.
- Both the Hero Bread™ Buttermilk Biscuit and Hero Bread™ Cheddar Biscuit include buttermilk to produce the tender, fluffy texture of a satisfying biscuit. The Hero Bread™ Buttermilk Biscuit delivers a richer buttermilk flavor that works in a variety of meals (we love them with jam or as the base for biscuits and gravy!). Each biscuit has the signature flaky crust that was the hallmark of a multi-generational breaking of bread at a family gathering.
- The Hero Bread™ Cheddar Biscuit contains real shredded cheddar cheese for a savory flavor that's perfect for slider sandwiches and serving with family dinner.
Each box of Hero Bread™ Buttermilk Biscuit contains 12 individual biscuits.
Biscuits are 2-2.5 inches wide and 1-1.25 inches tall and weight between 60-62 grams. Our artisan biscuits are handmade; individual biscuits will vary in shape and color.

“Net carbohydrates” are the carbs in food that are fully digestible and absorbed by the body. This is different from “total carbohydrates” as that includes all the different types of carbohydrates found in a food such as dietary fiber, which passes through the digestive system without being completely broken down and absorbed by the body. Net carbs can be calculated by subtracting Dietary Fiber from Total Carbohydrates listed on a product’s nutritional facts panel.
We offer prepaid subscriptions exclusively in 12-month terms with a frequency of every 3 months. As soon as you pay for a prepaid subscription, the first shipment is confirmed and is prepared for shipment.
You can purchase a prepaid subscription for select items (such as the Quarterly Subscription Box and Hero Croissants) by selecting "1-Year Prepaid Subscription" under those products and checking out like normal.
Prepaid subscriptions do not automatically renew, but you can choose to renew for another year. Under Upcoming Orders, you will have the option to change the order date, send a shipment now, or skip an order. If you need to cancel any remaining shipments, please contact us at hi@hero.co.Some Hero Bread Crafted Collection items and our Quarterly Subscription Box are available by subscription only. These items are handmade and hand-curated for you, and our teams work hard to ensure availability for our consumers and subscribers.
Subscriptions help us more accurately plan our baking schedule and ensure that we can continue baking your favorite products.
Not sure you're ready to commit to a subscription? Hero Bread Crafted Collection items are also dropped for one-time purchase throughout the year. Additionally, subscriptions can be cancelled, paused, or skipped at any time before your next order is placed with no additional cost to you. So you're free to try without being locked in for a long-term subscription if you're not happy with the items.With the exception of prepaid subscriptions, you can cancel, pause or skip your subscription at any time before your next order has been placed. Just log in to your account and navigate to the Subscription Manager dashboard to make any changes to your order. You'll receive an email 4 days before your order is placed to give you time to update as needed.
For prepaid subscriptions, you'll pre-pay for 4 shipments, with one shipment every 3 months. If you would like to change the date of your orders, you can still do so at any time before your order by logging into your account and navigating to the Subscription Manager. Your prepaid subscription will not auto-renew for an additional year.
